Don’t hate me, but I’m using Trump and his recent assassination attempt to help you understand how triggers are formed during a traumatic event and why you get triggered in the future.
No, this is not a political post, so don’t come at me.
It was a recent event that I thought most people would know about, which makes it easier for me to explain how triggers are formed.
It doesn’t mean I’m a Trump supporter, it doesn’t mean I want a political debate to break out in my comments (Remember, this is a safe space people.), nor does it mean I’ll start talking politics on here. Mental health is my jam, so I’ll stay in my lane.
I hope you find this helpful. If you have any questions, don’t be shy. Ask away in the comment section (There’s no such thing as a stupid question here). I’d also love to hear your thoughts (non-political thoughts of course) in the comments too.
Before I go, I have a question…
Thank you for taking the poll. 🤩
Until our next chat,
biggest hugs friend
P.S. All posts (and the ability to comment) are free this month because I want you to see why this is the best corner of the internet to hang out. Think of this courageous community as an exclusive country club, but rather than sitting in a stiff country club, we’re chillin’ in the mountains, next to (or in) a creek, sipping whatever cool beverage that brings you joy (All drinks are welcome here). If you’re ready for a safe space to improve your mental health, find community, and finally be seen, be sure to subscribe. We’ll be waiting with open arms.
…and if you thought I was kidding about sitting in creeks, I wasn’t. I dragged my bridal party to a creek (circa 2018). Creeks are my happy place.
